LAUSD - New School Site/Eminent Domain Issues

Campaign impacted cities in Southeast Los Angeles.  Planned and executed outreach targeting local residents to ensure a seamless transition for those losing their homes for new school construction.  Outreach included:

• Interacted with local city managers, council members and residents to address concerns and build community support for the projects.
  • Plan and moderated community meetings
  • Executed home based meetings with key community leaders as needed
• Collaborate with the local County Supervisor, Members of Congress, State Senators and Assembly members representing those affected areas.
• Diffuse any potential hot button issues prior to commencement of the project.

San Gabriel Basin Water Quality Authority

On-going campaign supporting local projects as it applies to water treatment facilities.

• Mitigate adverse impacts on local residents.
• Collaborate with local Cities to address potential issues before construction and during the building phase.
• Baldwin Park Project:
  • Enhance a blighted community where the streets where unpaved and curb and gutters were none existent.
  • Enhanced the neighborhood and worked with local residents to negotiate favorable fees for any enhancement made to their properties.
